The global reputation of the Dublin International Piano Competition is irrefutable; it being widely regarded as one of the most significant and influential Competitions in the world.

The success and the high standard of the Competition can be attributed in no small measure to the generous support of the Friends, who have contributed in excess of 800,000 since the first Competition in 1988. Many Friends have consistently joined with our core sponsor, AXA Insurance in endorsing the work and the aims of the Competitions Board and Executive Committee.
Friends can take pride, not just in their association with the Competition, but also in the achievements of the many young Irish pianists who have benefited.

Without the vital financial support of the Friends it would be impossible to maintain the high standard at which our Competition is run.
