| 27 years old Rebecca Cápová was born into a musical family in Cork. She began her studies with Eleanor Malone and Mabel Swainson. She graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from the Hochschule fur Musik Cologne in 2005 and with a First Class Honours Masters degree from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts in 2007 and is currently a Konzertexamen student with Pavel Gililov at the Hochschule fur Musik, Cologne. |

| She has garnered prizes at several international Piano competitions, including Citta Di Sangemini (1st Prize); Citta Di Sulmona, Italy (2nd Prize) Bellini (3rd Prize); Concerto Prize, Cologne and the prize for the best interpretation of Bach at the Concorso di Pianoforte Camillo Togni. In 2008, she won 1st Prize at the “Silvio Bengali “and 3rd Prize at the Duchi d’Aquaviva competitions in Italy.

| Rebecca has given concerto performances with orchestras in Prague, Chrudim and Cologne. In Ireland, she has appeared with the Cork Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Ireland, and the RTÉ NSO and recital programmes include festivals in Germany and Italy, in Martinu Hall, Prague and the NCH Dublin. She has also featured in the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now concert series in Germany.

| A keen chamber musician, Rebecca has given concerts with oboist Emmet Byrne in Ireland, Germany and on tour in Japan as part of the EU Japan Fest in 2006. In 2007, she joined Ioana Petcu-Colan, Adrian Calef and Daire Halpin for another tour of Japan. She also performs with her pianist sister, Kirsten Capova.

| Forthcoming engagements include recitals in Italy, Finland, Ireland, with the CSM Symphony Orchestra and Cork Youth Orchestra and a further tour of Japan.

| She is supported in her studies by the Arts Council.
