Steven Lin
USA
Steven moved to United States in 1999 to study with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Juilliard School Pre-college Division in New York. In addition to his performances within the Juilliard Pre-college division, Steven has performed in The New Jersey Performing Arts Center, The New Brunswick State Theatre, Alice Tully Hall, and Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center. His Juilliard chamber music ensemble has performed in Jordan Hall at The New England Conservatory in March 2007 for National Public Radio`s " From the Top".
 
Steven won the 2002 Juilliard Pre-College Piano Competition. This award resulted in his performance of the Shostakovich 2nd piano Concerto with the Pre-College Chamber Orchestra, Ki-Sun Sung conducting. He also won the 2004 Nordmann Piano Scholarship Competition and received full scholarship in Juilliard Pre-College division. In 2006, He won first prize in Juilliard Mozart Piano Concerto Competition after which he performed with the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony Orchestra. He was also the winner of the Munz Scholarship competition in 2008 at Juilliard. That same year, he won the First international Chinese Piano competition in New York.
In 2002, at the age of thirteen, Steven was a soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Mozart concerto with conductor George Manahan. In 2003, he performed in a family concert with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in Lincoln Center. At the age of fifteen he was again soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, this time performing Beethoven Concerto no. 1 with conductor Hal France. In 2005, he performed the Liszt piano concerto no. 1 with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
In 2007 Steven auditioned and received scholarship to the College division of The Juilliard School where he continues studies with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky.
